41-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck By Multiple Vehicles In Region A man was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles on a roadway in the region. The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, in Saratoga County on Route 146 near the intersection of Route 9 in Clifton Park.  New York State Police say an investigation determined Christopher E. Merritt, age 41, of Spring Hill, Florida, was walking across the roadway, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by two vehicles traveling eastbound.  Both vehicles immediately stopped, contacted 911 to dispatch emergency services, and cooperated with the investigation.&nbs…

Fatal Crash: 51-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Corvette Slams Into Tree In Deer Park One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a Long Island roadway. It happened around 7:15 a.m. Sunday, June 30, in Deer Park. Suffolk County Police said the victim was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette eastbound on Grand Boulevard when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at the corner of West 11th Street.  Dominick Benedetto, age 51, of Deer Park, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
